Kairos in ancient Greek refers to a perfect or opportune time to do something, which I believe, we are, in the process of creating throughout our lives. What better then, is Kairos, a suitable quality of anything, but our physical deaths.
As a twenty four year old Muslim woman, I don’t believe in the finality of our physical deaths, therefore, I take it only as an end of our universal journey, but the beginning of the journey beyond it.
Hence the name Colour Coding Kairos, because every moment I live, is a culmination of my end and my beginning, which makes every moment; precious, and all the time spent; significant.
This philosophy of living allows me to consider my present most meaningful to me, so that at the end of my life, I have no regrets towards my becoming, and I am prepared to overtake the next unknown.
Since that was a very morbid take on the name of my publishing company, for anyone who’s reading this, I implore you to consider Colour Coding Kairos, as precious moments you’re waiting to live, so that you’re always in the process of preparing yourself for them.
Without further ado, Hi, I am Adeena Mansoor, part writer, part human, from Karachi, Pakistan.
For me, this is a life project and the manifestation of one of my top five dreams from the list of things I want to do in life, therefore, I want to see Colour Coding Kairos evolving on its own, with my help, and yours.
Currently, I am just starting out, I don’t have much to offer, but potential projects you’d be able to hopefully see in the near future, god willing.
The first page of this website is dedicated to a literary ‘magazine’ named outroesque, I will be creating and curating, which will host poetry and prose from the writers around the world I’ve come to know through my Instagram account, and the writers who wish to be a part of it, but I don’t know yet.
The second page is named ‘journal’ because I’ve always been fascinated by people who maintain personal journals, and wanted to emulate something similar to it, by writing about certain things I thought, which I wished to share at given moments in my life, on the website by including the date and timestamps on it.
The third page is ‘portfolio’, which is an art venture, but empty at the moment, because at the moment, I am an amateur who is in the process of learning art.
And the last page is titled ‘about’ because what’s a person or a thing, without an introduction.
